Two charter boats operate through Discovery Diving, including a six-passenger vessel, and a 16-passenger crew boat.
Each dive must have at least four people, so grab some friends for this underwater excursion. But if there aren't enough people to go, the staff will find room on another scheduled charter.
We're off and getting into position.
And down, down we go, free of the boat and so small in this massive, blue space.
A Regular Day Charter is one of the options, which is a two-tank dive excursion.
The first dive may go 100-120 feet deep, requiring divers to show proof of training or experience, along with a certification card and/or log book.
We'll see some fabulous sea life, such as the great and handsome barracuda.
And we may even bump into one of these, when some training will surely come into play.
But we can't wait to get this close to one of North Carolina's mystifying shipwrecks.
