Find yourself bored of trips to Walmart and other big box stores? Looking for something with more of a nostalgic feel? Then we've got a treat for you! Sauders Store is an old-fashioned country store in New York that sells all your typical groceries, plus tons more. There's a deli, cafe, bakery, and nearly 40,000 square feet of shopping space. It's a lot like the Mennonite and Amish stores you'll find sprinkled throughout upstate New York and Pennsylvania, but much, much larger.
Sauders Store has been in Seneca Falls since the late 1970s. It's owned by a Mennonite who moved to the area from Pennsylvania and missed the Amish and Mennonite stores that were there.
The store carries groceries like any normal grocery store, but they've got all kinds of goodies you won't find at Wegmans or Aldi.
Want chow chow, or have a craving for Pennsylvania Dutch scrapple? They've got it here!
You won't find fresher produce anywhere else. It's all locally-grown and it's all outstanding.
The jams, jellies, and peanut butters are particularly delicious. Everything is freshly-made and the just-ground peanut butter comes in a variety of flavors.
You can get pickles, relishes, pretty much anything homemade that comes in a jar can be bought here.
They also carry a variety of hand-crafted wood furnishings. Their high quality Amish rockers and gliders are particularly popular.
They have seasonal flowers galore, so it's a great one-stop shop to fill up your pantry and garden.
If you're in need of freshly baked pies and pastries, this is definitely the spot to go.
Don't miss the giant doughnuts; they're delicious!
There are even hand-crafted toys and quilts for sale.
