Since the beginning of spring, many of Buffalo's beloved attractions have been forced to remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thankfully, now that the weather is warming up and New York State remains tough as a whole, we find ourselves being able to jump back into some of our go-to activities and seasonal adventures. Officially open for tours as of June 6th, see what it's like to get out on the water with the city's Buffalo River History Tours.
With more miles of Lake Erie's shoreline than we'll ever know what to do with, there are so many great ways to get out on the water here in Buffalo, but one of our absolute favorites is to explore our city's past with the Buffalo River History Tours.
Situated down along Prime Street, Buffalo River History Tours have been given the green-light to operate again here in Buffalo as of June 6...
...with social distancing measures and capacity restrictions in place, as well as face mask requirements to ensure that all visitors are safe while they enjoy these incredible tours.
If you're unfamiliar with these tours, you'll either find yourself boarding a smaller 48-passenger boat or the larger 145-passenger boat to bring you out onto the water.
The 90-minute excursion is one that you'll never forget and is narrated by an expert guide ready to tell you more about Buffalo.
Putting you right in front of the history of the world's largest grain port, you'll see America's largest collection of standing grain elevators from the water.
Tickets cost $23 for adults and $12 for kids under age 13 (free for kids under age 3), so this is an affordable outing that offers an exciting and scenic way to explore what once was.
