Head to the small riverfront city of Kingston and during the month of October, you'll find that you can ride the Rails of Terror train ride with the Catskill Mountain Railroad.
All throughout the year you can find the Catskill Mountain Railroad hosting a variety of whimsical train rides, with everything from a Polar Express, Easter Bunny Train, Peace Train, Great Train Robbery Ride, Ice Cream Sunday Train, and more.
Out of all the different train rides that you'll find featured on the Catskill Mountain Railroad's calendar, there's none as chilling as the Rails of Terror.
Settle on into the train's vintage seats and attempt to soak in the fall scenery as you listen to the tales of local ghosts that haunt the Catskill region.
A train ride that's recommended for adults and teens, those who are brave enough to become passengers of the Rails of Terror will also be on board with things like masked monsters, creepy clowns, and the undead.
In October 2019, you’ll find the Rails of Terror operating along the Catskill Mountain Railroad on October 11th, 12th, 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th - with two to three different train rides hosted on each date at either 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m., or 9 p.m.!
