Fall in New York means one thing — it is time for The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze. This incredible and unforgettable fall event, taking place in both Long Island and Hudson Valley, features thousands of glowing, hand-carved pumpkins. You’ll walk through elaborate displays in historic landscapes that seem to come alive. Adults and children alike will be mesmerized as pumpkin art and special effects almost transport them into an entirely new world. Gather your family and get ready for The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze, a one-of-a-kind event in New York that will quickly put you in the Halloween spirit.
The Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze is one of the best fall events in New York. Held in both Hudson Valley and Long Island, this fall event is not your typical pumpkin walk or pumpkin glow.
Rather, you will walk through more than 7,000 pumpkins set up in elaborate displays. Each individual pumpkin is designed and hand-carved by a team of artisans, creating scenes that are going to leave you impressed.
But, that’s not all. The displays include synchronized lighting and an incredible original soundtrack, which truly brings the entire experience to life.
The Blaze: Hudson Valley is returning for its 18th year at the Van Cortlandt Manor. At this location, you’ll get to see jaw-dropping creations with a splash of New York love like the Statue of Liberty and a pumpkin planetarium.
Just make sure to keep your eyes open because you never know … you may even see an animated "Jack" in action!
The Blaze: Long Island is just as incredible. Here, you’ll walk through more than two dozen elaborate displays throughout the historic Old Bethpage Village Restoration in Old Bethpage. You may recognize many characters and structures on your journey including various sea creatures and a lighthouse.
Take your time as you walk through the Blaze experience. The entire event is approximately 0.5 miles and most people complete the walk in about 45 minutes. However, you’ll want to plan at least 90 minutes for your entire on-site experience.
The route is one way and there is no re-entry once you have completed your journey. Take your time, capture lots of pictures, and have fun — there’s no need to rush through this extraordinary fall event!
All proceeds for this event support the Historic Hudson Valley, a private, non-profit educational organization that owns and operates several national historic landmarks. Ticket prices are based on age and all children under the age of two are free.
To attend this event, timed-entry tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets do sell out quickly so we recommend purchasing them early. The event is also held rain or shine. Tickets are exchangeable up to 48 hours before your ticketed event time.
