Over the past week we've seen some pretty unusual February weather for New York. In recent days, I've seen neighbors wearing flip flops and fellow New Yorkers grocery shopping in shorts. Some of us may be holding onto every inch of winter that we have left remaining, but the majority of us have already begun to dream about days in the sun with our favorite flavors ice cream.
If this wacky weather has you craving something sweet, then you're in luck because Cayuga Creamery is open all year long!
Take an adventure out to Seneca County where you'll find one of our favorite villages, Interlaken!
Just one of the many places out in the Finger Lakes where you can find unforgettable dairy treats, Cayuga Lake Creamery is a gift to every sweet tooth.
While some of your favorite go-to ice cream spots in this region may only be open seasonally, Cayuga Lake Creamery still offers its amazing menu during their winter hours.
Creating their own homemade ice cream in small batches on-site, the shop uses local ingredients that help make their desserts so desirable.
Over the years, the shop has become quite popular with their famous homemade flavors like their Sea Salt Caramel ice cream.
Visitors also love getting ice cream here because the shop freshly makes their own waffle cones!
Besides their Sea Salt Caramel, other favorites off of their drool-worthy menu are seasonal favorites like Maple Bacon, Lavender, and even Jalapeno Popper.
But if you're looking for something a bit simpler, they also offer your favorite classic flavors the Purple Cow, Rocky Road, Cotton Candy, Chipitty Chocolate and so many more.
And did we forget to mention that Cayuga Lake Creamery also works with local winemakers to create wine flavored ice cream? It sounds too good to be true!
Out of their famous 200 different flavors of ice cream, the shop normally keeps about 30 flavors available at a time.
Inside the shop visitors will also be able to find things like ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches, cup cakes and other desserts that you can take home with you.
When you pull into the creamery you'll quickly notice the Creamery Express, a wooden train that's perfect for the younger crowd to enjoy and is also in a pet-friendly area.
Attracting ice-cream lovers of all ages, this amazing ice cream shop is the perfect stop to make when you're traveling along the Cayuga Lake Scenic Byway.
