Christmas in New York is amazing. The Empire State is a great place throughout the year, but in December, it really turns magical. From our snowy streets to our lit-up towns to the wonderful festivals all over the state, there's nothing quite like it. A Frosty Fest in Ulster Park is one of our favorites. This magical Christmas light show extravaganza features over one million lights. There are also meet and greets with Santa, Frosty, and other fun Christmas characters, plus shows, a 3-D adventure, and more. It's a blast for kids (and kids at heart) and one of the best Christmas festivals in New York.

You may be familiar with Headless Horseman Haunted Hayrides and Haunted House in Ulster Park for its terrifying Halloween hayrides.

But come wintertime, this place transforms into one of the best Christmas festivals in New York. You'll feel like you're at the North Pole after a few minutes at this Christmas extravaganza.

We got a real kick out of seeing this statue all decked out for the holidays.

The fun starts off at A Frosty Fest in Ulster Park with a spectacular drive-thru light experience at Frosty's Enchanted Forest.

It almost felt like you were driving through a decked-out neighborhood!

Being as though great Christmas displays can be hard to find unless you know where to go, I loved that we could see such lovely ones right here.

Then, after you park, you get to meet a variety of beloved Christmas characters. Bubbles the Christmas Bear, Dasher the Reindeer, and more are here to greet you and make your Christmas in New York special.

There's a stage show with the elves Jingle and Jangle, a 3-D walk-through experience, and so much more at Frosty Fest NY.

Don't miss the gingerbread men and hot chocolate... yum, yum!
