Going on its 15th year, this annual yard sale runs between San Ysidro and La Cueva all throughout the beautiful Jemez Springs. Every October the Land of Enchantment's longest yard sale is unique, full of hidden surprises, and simply cannot be missed.
The Jemez Mountain Trail Sale is New Mexico's longest yard sale, and it has been held on a beautiful weekend in October every year for 15 years now.
Spanning 26 miles along State Highway 4, this yard sale starts in San Ysidro and ends in La Cueva, with the bulk of the sales in Jemez Spring.
This time of year is the perfect time to visit Jemez Springs, with the leaves changing colors and the mountains as a gorgeous backdrop for all of your bargain hunting.
There are vendors set up in parking lots as well as upon their own lots. There's so many vendors to visit that you'll want to spend the whole weekend here.
The treasures you'll find at the Jemez Mountain Trail Sale range from traditional finds to much more obscure treasures. One year, a shopper was thrilled to buy a tree stump for $5, and another time someone went home with an RV.
Besides resales, many New Mexican vendors set up to sell their homemade crafts and pottery. You'll also find food vendors, so you won't go hungry.
The weekend that the yard sale falls on is always claimed to be the "most beautiful weekend in Jemez Valley," making the 26-mile sale a perfect destination. You truly never know what you'll find at the Jemez Mountain Trail Sale, so go out hunting and find an amazing treasure.
