Lake Mohawk is a private residential community located in Byram and Sparta, New Jersey. Its six square miles are home to approximately 10,000 residents, all of whom enjoy lake living and a charming town center with Alpine-style architecture. Are you ready for some good holiday fun?
Then you'll be enthralled that this entire area turns into a tiny slice of Germany inside of the New Jersey holiday ambiance.
You'll find a traditional German Christmas Market with dozens of local New Jersey shops, food, music, children's activities, and more.
There are over 100 unique vendors every year, including a variety of local artists and craftspeople.
This is the largest Christmas market in New Jersey and the only non-profit German Christmas Market in the U.S. The indoor/outdoor selection includes a wide array of shopping options from fresh produce items, jewelry, clothing, shoes, home goods, and much more.
Many vendors will be selling up gourmet and international eats, including traditional German favorites.
If you get hungry, there will also be food trucks and concessions.
The market isn't just a great place to get gifts and munchies.
They've got a varied selection of live entertainment including singers, dancers, and theater performers.
Kids will enjoy a fun petting zoo...
...as well as visits from Santa Claus and story time. But there's also plenty for visitors of all ages to do!
Of course, shopping is the heart of this event, and profits help to support local charities. Lake Mohawk's German Christmas Market is open to all and is generally held the first weekend in December.
