New Hampshire is full of interesting attractions, some a little more strange than others. In fact, if we're being honest sometimes we just love weird New Hampshire attractions. We know that odd things can be endearing, and many of these places are well worth a visit. Here are 7 weird New Hampshire attractions that will give you an unforgettable day.
1. The Libby Museum, Wolfeboro
Exploring the private collection of a dentist with a knack for accumulating unique finds may not sound too interesting, but the Libby Museum is totally weird and wonderful. From taxidermied animals to Native American artifacts and even mummy hands, you are sure to find the unexpected here.
2. The Madison Boulder, Madison
This is no ordinary rock. The Madison boulder is absolutely massive, weighing in at 12 million pounds. The boulder was dropped as glacial ice retreated, and is thought to be the largest glacial deposit of its kind in North America.
3. The American Classic Arcade Museum, Laconia
Do you long for the great days of arcades, or the early days of video games? If so, you've got to visit the American Classic Arcade Museum, appropriately located at Funspot. You can learn about the original arcade games, and then go play their modern incarnations.
4. Woodman Institute Museum, Dover
The Woodman museum was established in 1915 and it hasn't changed much since. However, exploring the rooms full of early 20th century artifacts is still an interesting, unique experience.
5. Benson's Park, Hudson
Today, this is a great public park filled with a modern playground and walking trail. However, there are also remnants of Benson's former life, as a zoo and animal park. Where else could you walk into former animal cages, and visit the old lady who lives in a shoe?
6. Pinball Wizard Arcade, Pelham
How long can you keep the ball going? Find out at Pinball Wizard, where you can play 92 different pinball games.
7. Clark's Trading Post, Lincoln
There aren't many family attractions where you can watch dancing bears and them try to spot Wolf Man, but those are two of the favorite activities at Clark's Trading Post in Lincoln.
Now you have plenty of completely unique day trips.
