If you grew up in a certain generation, the close ties to nostalgia from that time are hard to resist. I know that even as I grow older, I still look back on earlier times in my life with fondness. This connection is different for everyone of course. No matter what generation you grew up in, there's one New Hampshire vintage shop that is sure to bring back memories and it's a place where you can definitely lose yourself in.
R.S. Butler's Trading Company in Northwood opened in the spring of 1991 as the site of a once-a-week barn sale.
Since that time the business has steadily expanded and now covers more than 5,200 square feet spread across the main shop and the two-story barn.
In the beginning, R.S. Butler's was strictly focused on antiques as one of the prominent attractions along Northwood's "Antiques Alley."
In recent years, the business has expanded to mid-century furniture, records and music memorabilia, and vintage clothing.
The vast majority of merchandise at R.S. Butler's is sourced from private estate sales, which provides a unique and eclectic inventory of items.
R.S. Butler's inventory changes daily, so there are always new items to see. No two visits will be the same experience.
If you have items you are looking to get rid of, don't throw them out without letting R.S. Butler's have a look first. What may be junk to you could in fact be treasure!
There's just so much to see here at this NH vintage shop that I'm sure you won't leave empty-handed! To learn more, visit the R.S. Butler's Trading Company website, and be sure to follow R.S. Butler's Trading Company on Facebook for the latest updates.
Northwood's Antiques Alley is also home to many other fine shops, which you can learn about in our ultimate guide to antiquing in New Hampshire. Booking a cabin at Getaway in nearby Epsom makes for a great base of exploration in the Northwood area.
