The cold weather might be inconvenient at times, but it does have an upside. For instance, the colder temperatures typically mean that the holiday season is upon us, and there’s no better way to enjoy the season than spending time with friends and family. Lucky for you, we’ve found the perfect place for you to do just that - Gift of Lights, a drive thru Christmas lights display in New Hampshire that’s sure to delight the young and old alike.
Each summer we're used to visiting the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for adrenaline-filled fun. And for many of us, the memories of years spent here are definitely still in our minds and close to our hearts.
Even if you didn't make it to the speedway to enjoy the views from the stands during the summer, you can make up for it in the winter, and that's because each holiday season the speedway hosts the best drive thru Christmas lights display in New Hampshire.
Gift of Lights will take place again this year from late-November thru late-December. And as with every other year that we've embraced this tradition, the good vibes are palpable!
The course is lit up with more than three million LED lights and the displays change each year.
But what doesn't change is the fun! The creators of this event have dreamed up over 500 different displays making up dozens of different scenes.
You'll start things off by heading into the 130-foot-long infield entrance and exit tunnels with more than 25,000 lights. This tunnel of twinkling lights starts things off in spectacular fashion. Then it's on to the rest of the lights.
As the displays change, the feeling of holiday magic gets stronger and stronger with each passing year.
You'll see that magic written all over the faces of the children - and adults - who visit.
