1. Saint-Gaudens National Historical Site, Cornish
This property was the home and studio of Augustus Saint-Gaudens, a famous sculptor who worked here early in the twentieth century. With stunning gardens and sweeping news of Mount Ascutney in neighboring Vermont, this is the perfect destination for a leisurely and scenic stroll.

2. Benson’s Park, Hudson
Ever wonder what it’s like to live in a zoo? Benson’s Park can give you the answer. The property housed elephants, lions, and a gorilla until 1987 when the zoo closed. In 2010 the property was reopened as a unique park where visitors can walk through the old animal cages and enjoy a variety of other whimsical exhibits.

3. Hood Museum, Hanover
If you love art, you’ll love this museum at Dartmouth College. It features over 65,000 artifacts from around the world and throughout the centuries, including a Picasso painting.

4. America’s Stonehenge, Salem
This mysterious man-made site features walls, chambers, and ceremonial sites that are over 4,000 years old! Some say that this is the oldest man-made construction in the U.S.

5. Redstone Rocket, Warren
It’s not often that a town green comes complete with its very own rocket, but it does happen here in New Hampshire. The rocket arrived in Warren in 1971, although there are conflicting reports about exactly why and how it came to New Hampshire. Read more about it right here.
6. The 45th Parallel, Clarksville
This hidden gem may not seem like much until you think about how it connects New Hampshire to the big wide world. When you stand on this spot you are exactly half way between the Equator and the North Pole.Read more about it right here.
7. The U.S.S. Albacore, Portsmouth
During the Cold War, the Albacore was one of the speediest submarines in the U.S. - in fact, the Navy still won’t say just how fast she could travel. Now, the retired 200-foot submarine is a free museum, where visitors can explore history and see if they would be fit for life under the sea. Read more about it right here.
