New Hampshire is known for tall peaks, fall leaves, and that quintessential New England structure: the covered bridge! There are quite a few to visit in the Granite State and there's a good chance trying to see them all will keep you busy for the next few months. But, why not take things a step further taking part in this special event that's only taking place one night this year.
You might know the Ashuelot Covered Bridge in Ashuelot as just one of the many bridges in New Hampshire. But once a year, this one offers a little something special.
The Winchester Red Committee hosts an incredible fundraising event offering a way to help the community, entertain locals, and generally give folks a fun time!
Dinner on the Ashuelet Covered Bridge takes place just one night each year and features a catered meal and a bevvy of homemade desserts.
This year's event provides support for the Winchester Historical Society and the Winchester Elmm Community Center.
The evening begins with a social hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. This is a great time to catch up with neighbors and enjoy a visit to the Sheridan House Museum.
Then, it's on to the dinner from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tables are arranged longways down the bridge, which is a fun sight to see!
From 7 p.m to 9 p.m., the Residential Jazz Band will have you up and dancing. The live music is always one of the best parts of the night!
The covered bridge offers the perfect backdrop for dancing and having fun.
Tickets are $30. By the time the evening comes to a close, you'll be planning ahead for next year!
