We just can't stop marveling at the fall foliage this year! From the reds, yellow and oranges lighting up the forest to the fact that it's all happening in perfect time, this is certainly the most beautiful autumn we can remember in ages. To ensure we don't miss any of the views, we've been on the lookout for as many different ways to take them in. This one, a gondola high above the treetops, is one of the best!
You might know Loon Mountain Resort best for their winter activities...
...but we'd argue that the fall is just as great at time to visit as any!
The views on the drive to Loon Mountain Resort are pretty great this time of year, but it's the gondola ride that really makes this a special trip.
This isn't just any gondola ride. This one is New Hampshire's longest, reaching the 2,733-foot summit of Loon Peak.
The views begin just about as soon as you take off.
And they only get better as the ride journeys towards the sky.
The views of the surrounding White Mountains are breathtaking allowing for a full view of one of the best autumns the state has experienced in years.
The journey doens't end at the summit, though. There are plenty of activities to enjoy once you're at the top, including the observatory with 360-degree views and glacial caves to explore.
This is perfect if you're looking to work up a sweat before the trip back down to the ground.
Speaking of the way down...the views don't get old.
And, no matter the weather, you're bound to see something gorgeous.
Loon Mountain Resort is located at 60 Loon Mountain Rd., Lincoln, New Hampshire. The gondola ride is open daily.
