Oddly enough, the majority of Montana's annual festivals happen in the summer or winter. And while we do have some fun spring festivals in Montana that are worth checking out, there's one in particular that we recommend to every Montanan. For over 30 years, the Moss Mansion in Billings has hosted SpringFest, and this year's festivities are going to be better than ever.
The historic Moss Mansion is located in Billings, where it has remained a local iconic spot since it was constructed in 1903.
The home was originally built for Preston Boyd Moss and his family. It is now a museum that happens to be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The mansion's calendar stays perpetually packed with events, parties, and private events like weddings.
But year after year, SpringFest remains one of the most popular Montana spring festivals.
SpringFest is an annual day of shopping, live entertainment, delicious food, and fun activities for kids.
This year will mark the 35th annual SpringFest.
The day typically begins with a pancake breakfast, then guests can check out the 50+ artists’ booths.
The booths are full of handmade home decor, photography, pottery, jewelry, paintings, and more. If you don't make it for breakfast, you'll also find a variety of foods and beverages to fuel your day.
Due to Montana's unpredictable weather, you won't find many spring outdoor festivals in the state.
But this one always seems to attract pleasant weather.
If you have little ones in your life, bring them along.
Not only is the festival family-friendly, but there are always special attractions and activities for kids, like games and face painting.
The 2024 SpringFest at Moss Mansion will be held on June 1.
Details will be announced soon about this year's sendoff to summer.

Another fun thing to do in spring is to take a day trip from Bozeman to Yellowstone to see Old Faithful & Grand Prismatic Spring.
When Glacier National Park opens up in the spring it is a beautiful sight. Check out this quick slideshow of one of our favorite natural wonders:
