If you've spent any time in Billings recently, you may have noticed that the dining scene has improved dramatically in recent years. From the tried-and-true restaurants to the trendy new eateries, breweries, and burger joints, you'll find whatever you're craving in Montana's largest city. And if you have yet to enjoy a meal at Commons 1882, you're really missing out.
Commons 1882 is located at 404 N 30th St.
The building is an old cherry-red country house that dates back to -- you guessed it -- 1882.
Before the restaurant opened in 2014, the new owner gave the building quite a facelift.
But even with the renovations, it maintains a historic charm.
The space is cozy an welcoming, a great spot for gathering with friends and family.
The daily happy hour is from 4 - 6, offering discounted beer, wine, and appetizers.
The food is all American and unpretentious, but it also happens to be expertly prepared and absolutely delicious.
It's common to find smoked ribs, short rib melts and other delicacies for lunch specials.
The menu is designed by chef Kaitlyn Pileggi, who clearly puts a lot of effort into her creations.
There's something for every taste here.
Commons 1882 is open daily, although their hours vary.
On Monday, they're open for lunch only (11 - 2). Tuesday - Friday hours are 11 - 9, Saturday is dinner only (5 - 10), and on Sunday, you can enjoy brunch from 10 - 2.
You can get a preview of the menus at Commons 1882 on the website. Did you know Billings was named one of the best places to live in America?
