The streets of St. Louis have been known to confuse many that are new to our city... and even GPS navigation much of the time! While our streets may confuse those who aren't familiar with the area, some of these street names are odd even to locals. Read below to see the wacky and unusual names of some our streets.
1. Candle Wax Drive
A drive down Candle Wax Drive will circle into Candleglow Drive. Where you will also find Mellowlight Drive and Flame Court nearby.
2. Spring Beauty Drive
Spring Beauty Drive sounds like a such nice street, and it is connected to Red Clover Drive, Wind Flower, Moon Flower, and Partridge Berry Drive for a full garden street experience.
3. Monopoly Drive
For the board game lovers there is Monopoly Drive, which is a side street of Boardwalk Avenue and connects to Atlantic Park Avenue!
4. Big Chief Drive
Big Chief Drive runs into Little Chief Drive, where you will also find Aztec Drive, Pueblo Drive and Wigwam Drive nearby.
5. Christmas Valley Road
Christmas Valley Road will take you to Yuletide Trail Road and Sleigh Run Drive for a holiday street drive anytime of year!
6. Bobolink Drive
Bobolink Drive sits in a flock of bird-named streets, including Flamingo Drive, Mallard Lane, and Swan Drive.
7. Active Drive
Active Drive is actually not a busy street, but a quiet residential area.
8. Antler Drive
Antler Drive will take you to East Linden Avenue, where you will then find Buck Avenue.
9. Bittersweet and Bitteroot Lane
Bittersweet Lane and Bitteroot Lane are separated by several zip codes. Bitteroot Lane is found in Berkeley, MO 63134 and Bittersweet Lane is located in St. Louis, MO 63138.
10. Brightside Place
You'll always have a positive outlook when on Brightside Place, which can be found in Webster Groves.
11. Cricket Lane
We don't think that Cricket Lane has any more crickets than any other place in St. Louis, but they must love these little buggers!
12. Daiquiri Lane
Daiquiri Lane has good company with Mimosa Lane... and they sound like tons of fun!
13. Fantasy Lane
Fantasy Lane doesn't hide any magical powers, but it sure sounds like a nice street to live on! This lovely lane is found in Sappington.
14. Friendly Drive
We are friendly around St. Louis, so it only makes sense there would be TWO Friendly Drives here; one in St. Louis, and the other in nearby Belleville, IL.
15. Gemini Drive
The astrological signs are represented here in St. Louis with Gemini Drive and Virgo Lane.
16. Glacier Drive
Glacier Drive surely doesn't have any frozen mountains of ice, but this ice-free drive can be found in St. Louis!
17. Grape Avenue
Grape Avenue is the only street named for fruit to be found in the area!
18. Sir Lancelot Lane
This street brings visions of Camelot to mind.
19. Thrift Avenue
Oddly, Thrift Avenue will take you to Diamond Drive!
20. Hobbits Glenn Court
This street is perfect for fans of J. R. R. Tolkien!
21. Yellow Jacket Place
For those who like a little sting in a name, we have Yellow Jacket Place, which can be found off of Bee Tree Lane and leads to Queen Bee Lane! Buzz buzz!
22. Wilderness Battle Circle
Wilderness Battle Circle is no longer a battle ground, but it does seem like a very long address to write. Ditto for Vicksburg Siege Court and Chattanooga Campaign Court, all of which can be found in St. Louis.
23. Leisure Lane
You really can live on Leisure Lane in St. Louis!
24. Yellow Brick Road
Yellow Brick Road is on the other side of the Mississippi, but it won't take you to a magical kingdom. It will, however, lead you to a nightclub that never closes - ever. This road can be found over in Sauget, IL.
25. Clear Skies Drive
The skies are not always clear on Clear Skies Drive, but you can always find Halfmoon Drive while in the area.
26. Security Court
Security Court offers no extra security, but it is a nice place to call home.
27. Serendipity Circle
It was meant to be if you find yourself on Serendipity Circle.
28. Bear Paw Drive
We have so few bears roaming our streets these days, but Bear Paw Drive can be found right here in St. Louis!
29. Rabbit Run Drive and Hog Hollow Road
Rabbit Run Drive is far less well known than Hog Hollow Road here in St. Louis.
These odd and unusual street names give our city a little more moxie! Where else can you say you live on Fantasy Lane or Leisure Lane?
