An absolutely breathtaking destination during the warmer months, Mizumoto Japanese Stroll Garden in Springfield transforms into an enchanting wonderland of lights during Christmastime.
Nestled in the Springfield Botanical Gardens, the 7.5-acre stroll garden hosts Gardens Aglow on select evenings from late November through the end of the year.
Bundle up for an evening stroll that will lead you over a fairytale footbridge, along a lighted path, and past shimmering displays.
With more than 175,000 glowing lights, the stroll garden makes it easy to get in the Christmas spirit - even if you're feeling a bit bah humbug this year.
While you'll want to bundle up on those chilly winter evenings in Missouri, you can also get toasty in front of one of the fire puts.
Grab a bite to eat and a hot drink, too. Several local vendors will be on hand during the Christmastime festivities.
The family-friendly Missouri Christmas lights display is held weather-permitting. Closures are listed on the Friends of the Garden Facebook page.
A leisurely wander through Gardens Aglow, which is handicap accessible, usually takes around a half an hour. However, you can take as long as you'd like. Benches are available to sit back, take a breather, and enjoy the scenery.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the garden. All members of the Friends of the Garden or Springfield Sister Cities Association get in free the entire holiday season.
