Go behind the scenes on an unforgettable tour of The Roasterie Coffee Factory in Kansas City. (Just look for the plane taking off above the building if you're never been there before.)
Led by a seasoned guide, the 45-minute tour will give you an intimate look at several coffee-making processes, including cupping or coffee tasting, air roasting, and blending.
But, that's just some of what you'll learn. Get a peek into the history of The Roasterie, ask questions, and...
...see how coffee is manually brewed.
Of course, you'll have to follow a few rules on the tour, which is wheelchair and stroller accessible. Follow the instructions of your tour guide, and never touch the equipment.
And, be prepared to slip a hairnet (and a beardnet, if applicable) on when in production areas.
After your tour ends, stop by the Factory Cafe to sample some of The Roasterie's coffees.
Tours are $5 per person for guests over 12. Kids 12 and under are free. The Roasterie recommends registering and paying
online at least two hours before your preferred tour time.
