With summer coming to a close, it's time to get outside and soak up the sun. There are so many parks across the state where you can have some fun but this city park has something a little extra special. Your kids will love sliding down the giant hill of Concourse Park, and you'll get a kick out of it too! Make plans to visit this super fun park before heading back into the school year.
The Concourse Park in Kansas City might be best known for its large, geyser-like fountain. In the summer this fountain is the perfect place to cool off. However, there is more to The Concourse than just a fantastic fountain.
Two shining slides will beckon you to the large hill in the park. You'll see kids of all ages zipping down these hillside slides.
Many visitors bring blankets or towels to ride down on. We've even seen people use small mats.
Take a page from this kid's book and run back up to the top. However, if the slides are busy there are a set of stairs off to the side you can use.
Even parents will enjoy taking a ride down the slide. Spend some time at the re-vamped playground at the base of the slides. There is even some workout equipment for adults to enjoy.
Whether you head to the park to enjoy nature, get some exercise, or play in the fountains...there's always time for a little fun! The Concourse Park is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight.
Check out the fun in this short video! When you're ready to check these slides out for yourself, find the park at 200 Benton Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64123.
