One Christmas light display, however, consistently earns props as one of the top displays in the U.S. Travel & Leisure, in fact, named it Missouri's best Christmas display. If you've not been to Silver Dollar City in Missouri this holiday season, you'll definitely want to add it to your to-do list.
Silver Dollar City in Branson seems to outdo itself every Christmastime with its dazzling display of lights which total more than 6.5 million this holiday season.
It's definitely one of those destinations you have to visit at least once for its An Old Time Christmas Celebration, which features a full menu of festive events and activities.
A leisurely stroll through the popular theme park will dazzle you, and you'll definitely want to...
...snap photos of the 80-foot tall Christmas tree. The masterpiece of Joy On Town Square, the eight-story tall Christmas tree, and the square itself shimmer in more than one million lights.
An Old Time Christmas also features the fun and memorable Rudolph's Holly Jolly Christmas Light Parade. Marvel at the lights as Rudolph and the Abominable Snow Monster pass by.
That's just the beginning of the Christmastime fun. Carve out plenty of time for your visit, so you can catch one of the more than 30 live shows.
Select rides will run, and you might want to hop aboard the Frisco Sing-Along Steam Train. Christmas carolers will also roam the park, helping everyone to stay in the Christmas spirit.
