Some flea markets are so big that you need several hours or more to peruse all the merchandise – and that’s exactly the case with The Open Market in Vicksburg. The enormous flea market encompasses 24,000 square feet and features more than 100 vendors! The variety of merchandise is just as impressive as the flea market’s size. Look around and you’ll find everything from antiques and collectibles to locally made goodies. Brimming with merchandise, you could easily devote an entire weekend to exploring this enormous flea market. Take a look at one of the best flea markets in Mississippi:
In January a few years back, The Open Market opened in the old Coca Cola facility in Vicksburg.
Practically a Vicksburg landmark, the building is over 80 years old. And now, it’s fittingly been transformed into "an entryway to the past" thanks to the plethora of antiques and collectibles that fill it.
But the 24,000-square foot building is full of more than just antiques and collectibles.
With 110 vendors, the merchandise varies greatly.
The impressive selection includes a ton of vintage items from the past…
…as well as new items and custom-made creations.
There are even locally produced goods, including candles, soap, honey, original art, and more.
The booths that wind through the market are clearly marked, making it easy to find your way around.
You could spend hours (or days) making your way through the seemingly endless booths and taking in all the merchandise.
Surprises await around each corner. You may even find a sale or two.
And since the market is housed indoors, it’s a great visit anytime – even on a cold day or rainy afternoon.
