A lot of things have changed since 1951, but Frostop Drive-In isn’t one of them. Located in Picayune, the small town restaurant is still serving up the same tasty grub in the same building as when it first opened decades ago. What’s more, the prices have barely budged! Take a look:
This is Frostop - an authentically old fashioned drive-in known for its mouthwatering food and friendly service.
Practically a Picayune landmark, it's been in business since 1951! And not much has changed over the years – from the building to the prices.
Despite its small town locale, Frostop is pretty easy to find. Just look for the sign and full parking lot (it’s a popular spot, so a crowd is likely).
So, what’s the secret to Frostop’s unwavering popularity? Well, it most likely has something to do with the food, which is really, really good.
The menu features about 40 items and includes everything from fast food classics, like burgers and hot dogs, to local favorites, like po’ boys and crab cake sandwiches.
And while each item on the menu is as tasty as the next, it’s the chili burgers and roast beef po’ boys that get constant rave reviews from customers.
Nearly as impressive as the food are the prices. A regular burger is just $1.60, while a cheeseburger is only $1.75!
Like a true old fashioned drive-in, Frostop has a walk-up window for placing to-go orders.
Don’t want to wait until you get home to eat? No problem; there’s seating inside.
Frostop is located at 305 US-11, Picayune, MS 39466. For more information, call (601) 798-4981. You can also visit the eatery’s Facebook page.
