As far as winter festivals in Mississippi go, none quite compare to the Canton Christmas Festival. With thousands of lights, over-the-top décor, and lots of fun festivities, it is like something straight out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. And just like a Hallmark Christmas movie, you don’t want to miss it!
The Canton Christmas Festival transforms the town’s Courthouse Square into a twinkling wonderland of yuletide fun. In fact, the fest has earned Canton the nickname, the City of Lights.
A holiday favorite and a great way to get into the spirit of the season, the Canton Christmas Festival typically operates nightly from late November through late December.
The fest's daily schedule of events includes something for merrymakers (and merry-seekers) of all ages.
There are carousel rides, train rides, and horse-drawn buggy rides, which are sure to delight kids AND kids at heart.
And to help get younger visitors into the spirit of the season, there are nightly sing-along shows, story time with Mrs. Claus, photos with characters, Frosty's and Rudolf's Interactive Village, and lots more.
Photo-ops are another hallmark of the Hallmark-like holiday fest, so make sure to have a camera handy during your visit.
