Minnesota has an endless number of places to swim - at least 10,000 of them! But not everyone likes swimming in lakes. Their muddy bottoms and plethora of critters are enough to drive many would-be swimmers away. Luckily, there are also plenty of swimming pools! One of our favorites happens to be a natural pool in Minneapolis. Next time you're in the Twin Cities and looking for a clean place to swim, check out the Webber Natural Swimming Pool. Read on below to learn more about this unique spot:
Webber Natural Swimming Pool is a unique swimming destination in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It’s among the only pools of its kind in the country!
It has a natural filtration system that uses filters and plants to clean the water instead of chemicals. The water filters through a regeneration basin nearby to be cleaned before cycling back into the pool.
When it comes to swimming, this pool is fantastic. For one thing, it’s large enough to accommodate up to 500 people. You’ll have plenty of room to spread out as you swim and splash.
The pool features a zero-depth entry to make it easier to enter and exit the water. At the deepest point, the water is a little over 6 feet deep. In the shallow pool area, the maximum depth is 3 feet, 7 inches.
There's also a jumping platform where you can splash into water that is 11 feet, 7 inches deep. There are lifeguards on duty to make sure everyone stays safe.
The pool even has a lap swimming area for those who wants to get in a little exercise. This unique natural pool is one of the best places to cool down in Minnesota!
