Being the Land of 10,000 Lakes, Minnesota has many places to cool off in the summertime. Sandy beaches are all across the state, offering fun in the sun with a gorgeous lake view. But those who prefer swimming in more developed areas are not without options. For example, the place we’d like to introduce today is a wonderful spot to keep cool during the hot, humid Minnesota summer. Read on below to learn more about Bunker Beach Water Park:
Bunker Beach Water Park is a water park in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, making it a great spot for those who live in or around the Twin Cities metro. It’s the largest outdoor water park in Minnesota!
There’s plenty to love about this water park. For one thing, people of all ages can enjoy it. There’s a small, shallow swimming space for youngsters, complete with small waterslides.
For visitors craving a bit more excitement, a series of large waterslides add even more fun. Riders will speed through twists, turns, and tunnels before reaching the cooling water.
Another popular area is the park's wave pool. Every 15 minutes, a series of 3-foot waves bring the ocean to Minnesota. Guests can enjoy the wave pool on their own or with a tube!
Speaking of tubes, the lazy river is also popular amongst guests. Simply grab a tube and go for a ride! What better way to take in the sun without getting too hot?
When you want a break from the water, there are plenty of places to set up shop. Spread your towel out on a chair and take in some rays. When it gets too hot, it's easy to take a dip and cool off!
If you get hungry or need any summer essentials, you can get it at a concession stand. Water bottles are allowed inside the water park, but no outside drinks or foods are permitted. There are picnic tables outside the gates for those who bring coolers.
Admission to the park ranges from $13 to $19 depending on the guest's age and the time of day. This includes entry to all pool areas and slides - all with lifeguards on duty. If you're looking for a great way to cool down, this is one of the best spots in Minnesota!
