But there’s another yard sale trail in Michigan that serves as a perfect add-on (or even alternative, depending on your location) to the US-12 event. It is the 100-mile yard sale 2023 - also called The Antique Yard Sale Trail. Round up a few pals, mark your calendars, and get ready to do some dedicated treasure hunting.
Are you ready for some great antique garage sale shopping?
The Antique Yard Sale Trail through Michigan’s Thumb region generally takes place the second weekend in August.
If you’re utterly obsessed with shopping and antiquing, this exciting event is sure to capture your attention.
The trail extends between two small towns. It starts in New Baltimore and goes all the way northward through tiny Caseville.
This awesome expanse of yard sales takes visitors on a scenic tour along highways M-29 and M-25.
Both of these give way to fantastic views of Lake Huron and the St. Clair River. It’s two adventures in one!
During the sale weekend, you’ll have the opportunity to stop at private residences for yard sales, charming boutiques for antiques, and everything in between.
Make sure to start with an empty car trunk so you have plenty of room for your new unique finds.
Meander through the beachside town of Lexington, stopping for a stroll along the harbor if you need a break from shopping.
Other quaint towns along the route include Harbor Beach and the marvelous Port Austin.
There’s no telling what you’ll encounter as you drive along this 150-plus-mile route, whether you’re searching for something in particular or just perusing.
Furniture, vintage clothing, toys, decor – there’s much to love!
While yard sales are certainly the name of the game...
... a few highlighted stops along the route include Back Porch Antiques in Marine City, beautiful Algonac State Park, and St. Clair’s lovely Riverview Plaza.
