The holiday season isn’t complete without at least one festive family adventure. Many sites throughout the Great Lakes State come to life with cheer during the winter months, including parks and historical villages. One such destination here in Michigan hosts a Christmastime event that will help you stretch your legs and embrace the delights of the season. Get ready to make lasting memories at Canterbury Village.
Canterbury Village is located at 2325 Joslyn Ct in Orion Charter Township.
This 21-acre gem sits on the site of a former working farm and offers visitors the chance to experience a taste of Michigan as it once was. During the winter, it’s extra special.
While Canterbury Village hosts plenty of fun events throughout the year, its holiday offerings are truly magical. This year, guests can check out the charming Holiday Stroll.
Tickets must be purchased in advance for the Stroll, which is slated to take place on select dates beginning in late November and running through December 23.
The Holiday Stroll begins each night at 5 p.m. with the last walk-through starting at 7:45 p.m.
Gaze at lights, check out delightful shops that call Canterbury Village home, drop off letters for Santa, and admire holiday displays with live characters. What’s not to love?
There’s even a patio area where you can enjoy snacks, food truck fare, hot cocoa, and other beverages after your enchanting walk. It doesn’t get much more festive than this.
No matter what your age, a journey through Canterbury Village’s Holiday Stroll will undoubtedly put you in the spirit of the season. Grab your sparkliest mask and prepare to celebrate.
