1. Torch Lake, Antrim County
Renowned for its brilliant blue water, Torch Lake is one of the most picturesque inland gems in the state. In fact, non-Michiganders might mistake your photos of Torch Lake for a tropical island somewhere far away. There are 19 miles of shoreline to explore here, whether you’re renting a cottage or accessing the water via Torch Lake Township Day Park. The Caribbean vibes are impossible to deny, so start planning a day trip or an overnight excursion to this splendorous locale.
2. The Deck Down Under, Jerome
If nautical decor and delicious food are two of your favorite things, The Deck Down Under undoubtedly deserves a spot on your Michigan bucket list. This lovely locale in the community of Jerome features an unassuming exterior paired with beachy interior additions, including ample fishing memorabilia and vibrant, tropical-inspired art.
