Have you ever spotted these golden spires while traveling along Route 495? As a child, you may have thought this shrouded spot was Disney World or even Oz.
It's actually the DC Mormon Temple, which is located in Kensington, Maryland. This is a church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and it sure makes a statement!
For decades, the public was only able to view this man-made marvel from the outside, particularly during the annual holiday lights display.
However, after two and a half years of renovations, it has been announced that public eyes will be able to view the interior for a limited stretch of time in 2022.
The public open house will be from April 28th to June 4th, 2022 (excluding Sundays). Ticket information for this remarkable event will be available on November 1st, 2021.
