3. Visit the George Peabody Library.

Maryland's most magnificent library is located in Baltimore and it's a must-visit spot at least once in your lifetime. Although it's free, it offers the richest of views.

You don't have to be a kid to fall in love with this whimsical playground in Upper Marlboro. Based on The Wizard of Oz, this fun spot includes ruby red slipper slides, Emerald City, and more!

5. Hike along the Great Allegany Passage.

The Great Allegany Passage spans from the end of the C&O Canal towpath in Cumberland all the way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! The Maryland portion offers views along the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad where vintage steam engines chug on by. It's beautiful, to say the least.

6. Go on a road trip.

7. Take in the scenery at Cylburn Arboretum.
