1. Explore the swinging bridge at Patapsco Valley State Park.

2. Watch the bald eagles at Conowingo Dam.
You'll often see photographers lined up, waiting to capture magnificent shots of bald eagles feeding at this dam in Darlington. Spend a few hours watching the eagles go fishing and bring your camera!

3. Visit the George Peabody Library.
Maryland's most magnificent library is located in Baltimore and it's a must-visit spot at least once in your lifetime. Although it's free, it offers the richest of views.

4. Visit the land of Oz at Watkins Regional Park.
You don't have to be a kid to fall in love with this whimsical playground in Upper Marlboro. Based on The Wizard of Oz, this fun spot includes ruby red slipper slides, Emerald City, and more!

5. Hike along the Great Allegany Passage.
The Great Allegany Passage spans from the end of the C&O Canal towpath in Cumberland all the way to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! The Maryland portion offers views along the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad where vintage steam engines chug on by. It's beautiful, to say the least.

6. Go on a road trip.

7. Take in the scenery at Cylburn Arboretum.
Free and open year-round, this Baltimore gem is full of history paired with charming garden views. Be sure to check out the Japanese maple, which wows visitors time and time again.

Sprawling from Montgomery County to Washington DC, Rock Creek Park is the perfect place to spend a few hours cycling, walking, or jogging. The many bridges gives this place an enchanting vibe and autumn offers out-of-this-world views.
