This grand structure located on Cathedral Street is known as The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, or simply, Baltimore Basilica.
What makes this place so unique is that it was America's first Roman Catholic Cathedral.
Built between 1806 and 1821, this cathedral has seen some impressive visitors over the years, including popes and other religious figures from around the globe.
Step inside and see all the little details, including an ornate altar...
...intricately painted ceilings...
...and even an intriguing crypt that's open to the public.
