Enjoying winter in Maine means finding activities that you just can't do any other time of year. Things might be cold and there's certainly some snow, but making the effort to get outside will always pay off. We have always had the motto that "There is no such thing as bad weather" so we will always advocate for getting out in the great outdoors even when the temperature reads in the single digits. However, winter is even more fun when the activity involves zipping down a snowy hill! Here's everything you need to know about Seacoast Adventure in Windham, your go-to destination for some of the best snow tubing in Maine.
There's a lot to love about winter in Maine and snow tubing is one of the best! To soak up as much fun as possible head to Seacoast Adventure in Windham.
In our experience, this is the absolute best place to go tubing in Maine. We have gone to many places but this one offers a consistent experience all throughout the wintertime. Making their own snow secures that the lanes are ready for guests even when there is lighter snowfall in the season.
With up to 10 lanes open throughout the season, this fun park offers plenty of space for everyone.
Here are a few local tips about which lane to choose. First, we would suggest taking each one because they all offer a great ride, however, some are better suited for certain groups and types of thrills. While looking at the slopes the ones on the left offer a great ride if you want to hook up multiple tubes together and go down as a group. The lanes on the right offer a quick ride to the bottom and in the right conditions may even give you a little bit of air on the way down. The furthest lane to the right will give you the most twists and turns giving you one of the longest rides in the park.
Their dedicated snow park offers tubing for both kids and adults. To make sure everyone has a turn visitors can book two-hour time periods that come with rentals.
And, for small kids, grownups can share in the tubing fun.
We also love that Seacoast Adventure offers evening tubing under the lights at night!
Imagine zipping down the snow-covered hill with the excitement of bright lights and the promise of great snacks waiting for you in the Deck House Tavern at the bottom.
And while we love the tubin' and the snacks, it's the moving walkway that carries tubers right back up to the top each time that wins our affection! Don't worry if you look a little foolish a few times on the conveyor belt, it takes some getting used to. Almost everyone stumbles a few times on it so just know you are not alone.
If you're looking for a safe way to enjoy a winter attraction in Maine, it's Seacoast Adventure's snow park and tubin' that will surely do it!
This wonderful snow tubing place is open for snow tubing at their snow park on weekends, holidays, and each school vacation week. The park may even offer specific time slots for visits.
