Every year winter inevitably arrives here in Maine and while we dread it every summer, we'd be lying if we said we didn't love it! From winter sports like skiing and snowshoeing to getting nice and cozy with a book and a fire, there's something about winter that this state was made for! We especially love the winter events that pop up all over the state, including this fun ice bar in Maine.
The Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport offers one of the most quintessential Maine stays in the area. Located right on the rocky coast with access to the adorable downtown area, this place makes for a great weekend away in the summer.
But we might argue that the winter is when this place really sparkles!
Each year when December rolls around and the holiday spirit is just grabbing hold, The Nonantum Resort hosts "Fire & Ice."
The event features their award-winning food and unique cocktails.
We also love the ice sculptures that are sure to impress even the biggest Grinch!
The event takes place outdoors, and while the "fire" part means you'll find fire pits throughout, you'll still want to dress warmly.
The 2021 event takes place on Friday, December 10th, and Saturday, December 11th. There are two entries per day, one at 3:30 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m.
