We’re knee deep in Halloween season—so you know what that means. It's time to visit a haunted house! There are some truly amazing places to take a walk on the creepy side and see how much your stomach can take. Louisiana actually has some of the most elaborate and terrifying haunted houses in the entire country. Are you brave enough to visit them all?
1. 13th Gate Haunted House, 832 St. Philip St., Baton Rouge
For years now, the 13th Gate has been freaking people out around the Baton Rouge area--and now they have a 13th Gate themed escape game! Select weekends until Nov. 5th.
2. The Mortuary Haunted House, 4800 Canal St. New Orleans
Found inside of an old mansion, the Mortuary is celebrating their 10th anniversary this year and it promises to be one of the creepiest years yet!
3. Tree Farm Massacre, 458 Tree Farm Rd., Leesville
For a truly spooky halloween night experience---all the lights will be off on October 30 and 31st as you tour this forest.
4. Dark Woods Haunted Attraction, 4343 University Pkwy, Natchitoches
Open now until Halloween, this creepy attraction is getting stepped up this year because of the new 3D inclusion.
5. The House of Shock, 319 Butterworth St., Metairie
This amazing haunted house has repeatedly been listed as one of the top haunted houses in the country. It will definitely freak you out!
6. RISE Haunted House, 10342 LA-442, Tickfaw
Another more rural haunted house that offers up some truly freaky frights throughout the month of October.
7. Trail of Lost Souls, 11622 Highway 1064, Tickfaw
Are you brave enough to travel through the woods on your own? This Haunted trail is definitely going to test your limits!
8. The Lost Hollows, 3413 Derek Dr., Lake Charles
You'll be amazed at how terrifying it can be to explore this place in the dark.

9. Gothic Jail After Dark, 205 W. 1st Street, DeRidder
A new attraction in DeRidder, explore the insides of one of the most haunted and spooky jails in all of Louisiana.
10. Evil Visions Haunted House, 501 Desiard St., Monroe, LA
This haunted house in Monroe has been spooking everyone in sight for many years now. The question is: Are you brave enough to try it?
11. Fright Trail, 5305 Cameron Street, Lafayette
Found outside of Lafayette in Scott, Fright Trail includes 20 acres of haunted woods, where you will come face to face with some very gnarly creatures of the night!
