2. Woldenberg Park

With its beautiful river views, a welcoming breeze, and paved walk ways, it’s no surprise Woldenberg Park made the list. This 16-acre park is nestled between the Mississippi River and the French Quarter, offering stunning views of the river. 3. St. Louis Cathedral

Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, St. Louis Cathedral holds the distinction of being the oldest Cathedral in North America. Opened in 1794, this historic building is truly a work of art and an architecture lover’s paradise. 4. City Park

Clocking in at 1,300-acres, you can bet that there’s a lot of beauty hiding within this historic park. Take a stroll through the Botanical Gardens, wander through the newly renovated sculpture garden, or just find a secluded bench by the water and sit with your thoughts. 5. Jackson Square

Perhaps the crown jewel of the French Quarter, Jackson Square is a beautiful little park surrounded by history. Originally named "Place d’Armes," Jackson Square was renamed to honor Andrew Jackson after the Battle of New Orleans. Local artists flock to this open-air park, and it’s not uncommon to see everything from street drummers to oil painters peppered throughout the space. Restaurants, museums, and boutiques line the square, making it the perfect way to spend a weekend afternoon.

6. St. Louis Cemetery No. 1

It may seem a bit strange to include a cemetery on a list of beautiful places in New Orleans, but trust us on this one. New Orleans’ oldest cemetery opened up in 1789 and has been the final resting place of some of the city’s most notable figures, including the Voodoo priestess Marie Laveau. Right in the heart of uptown lies an urban oasis that will simply mesmerize you with its beauty.
