Louisiana summers can be brutal, no doubt about it. Finding new and exciting ways to stay cool can be a challenge, but spending the day at a water park is always a safe bet. There's one water park that hasn't been open too long and we think you'll really enjoy it. There's a lot to do at this park, so get ready!

Liberty Lagoon is a newer water park in Baton Rouge that's truly a hidden gem.

From May 25-August 6, Liberty Lagoon is open 7 days a week!

Monday-Thursday: 11am-6:30pm

Friday-Saturday: 10am-6:30pm

Sunday: Noon-6:30pm

There's ton of stuff to do, from 205ft water slides to lazy rivers, there's something for everyone here.

Kids will have hours of fun testing their balance at Lily's Lily Pad crossing

Traverse over boxes, lilypads and leaves while holding onto the webbed netting overhead.

There’s also a high speed surfing simulator

Test your surfing skills with this high-speed attraction! They also offer classes if you're looking to get serious.

When you’re ready to take a break from all the fun, there are several lounge chairs, perfect for soaking up some sun.

There’s also seating under the pavilions for when you need to retreat to the shade with some snacks from the concessions stand.

This place is more than just a waterpark, there's also several classes you can take.

Liberty Lagoon offers swim lessons for all ages, aqua Zumba, water aerobics, paddle board yoga, and they even offer a kayaking class!

And in the summer they have movie nights

The next movie night is scheduled for July 15, from 7pm-9pm. Bring a blanket and some chairs and enjoy the a movie outside!

At the end of the summer, they throw a pool "pawty"

You can bring your pup in to play in the pool! This seems like so much fun for your favorite four-legged friend.

General Admission fees are as follows: $10 for those under 48" tall and $12 for those over 48" tall. Children 12 months and younger are free.
