2. The Singing Oak
City Park is full of hidden gems, and the Singing Oak is just the tip of the iceberg. The Singing Oak is a massive ancient oak tree that’s been strung with several wind chimes that produce a carefully crafted sound. Created by Louisiana artist Jim Hart, it’s the perfect spot to sit and listen to the calming sounds on a beautiful day.

The French Market might just be one of the most visited attractions in New Orleans, and located within this historic market lies one of the most incredible little cafes you’ll ever eat. At Meals From The Heart, they take your favorite Cajun and Creole dishes and turn them into vegan and gluten-free meals that don’t compromise flavor one bit. 4. Bacchanal Fine Wine & Spirits
Tucked away in the corner of the Bywater on Poland Avenue, Bacchanal is every cheese and wine lover’s paradise. The courtyard is absolutely charming, and their selection of small plates will keep you munching for hours.
5. Faulkner House Books
While not necessarily that hard to find, it’s easy to pass up if you’re walking around the French Quarter. Located in Pirate’s Alley, this little space was once the home of William Faulkner and is now a tiny little bookstore will all sorts of fascinating finds to add to your reading list.
6. The Green Goddess
For a light lunch that doesn’t compromise flavor, pay a visit to The Green Goddess. This Exchange Alley eatery features everything from Cajun classics to French and Thai cuisine.
