Spring festivals in New Orleans are events that folks anticipate all year long. From April til October, you can expect a festival or special event just about every weekend. There's one classic festival coming up that's not to be missed. The exciting French Quarter Festival is only weeks away. Let's check it out.
French Quarter Festival returns to celebrate its 40th year this spring!
The festival takes place April 11-14, 2024, and you don't want to miss out on the expansive opportunities to hear live music.
From the early years until today, the festival seeks to celebrate everything about this cool city at one of the best New Orleans spring festivals.
The organizers are committed to featuring local artists, musicians, chefs, and more. The best of the best come out to celebrate!
With more than 40 hours of live music - from the foot of Canal Street to Esplanade Avenue - festival organizers have curated more than 270 acts.
Dance along with the crowd in this festive space.
Some of the more than 40 artists making their debuts include Teedra Moses, The Original Pinettes with Mia X, People
Museum, and the TBC Brass Band featuring HaSizzle.
The DJ Stage
will showcase everything from Hip-Hop to Electronic, and Cumbia to Afrobeats, and some popular personalities on this year’s bill include Raj Smoove, DJ Kelly Green, DJ
RQAway, DJ PJ, and Ngoma Numu. Stay informed of the musician's schedule.
And if you're into food, the culinary lineup is home to dozens of restaurants
with their own great stories to tell.
Enjoy some of New Orleans' favorite restaurants, such as historic Tujague’s, Plum Street Snoballs, Bao Mi, and Paco’s Tacos. This year, fans are invited to join Chef Kevin Belton at the Culinary Stage
to see what's cooking at the festival and learn more about the
stories behind these treasured establishments. We like the culinary demos that will take place in Aquarium
Plaza.
The French Quarter Festival also brings out all the local artists.
It's the best place to buy some new wall art for your home and one of the best things to do in New Orleans in spring!
Fans are invited to welcome Fest on Thursday, April 11 at 10 a.m. at the French Quarter Festival Kickoff Parade.
The parade departs from the 200 block of Bourbon Street down to St. Ann Street where it turns and makes its way to Jackson Square for the Annual Opening Day Ceremony.
See you this spring in New Orleans!
The festival is free and open to the public, with VIP opportunities for purchase.
