Lafreniere Park is the largest park in Metairie, and during the holidays it transforms into an incredible light show that you won’t want to miss.
Christmas in the Park is back for another year of holiday fun, and the whole family will enjoy this magical wonderland.
Featuring over 10 million LED lights, this is one Christmas light show that stands out from the rest.
Every year is something different, but you can always count on some old favorites like the 60-foot Sea Serpent in the lagoon.
This year’s display will include endless decorations and elaborate lighted displays.
On Saturday, December 14, 2019, you’ll want to wake up early to play in the snow! 100,000 pounds of artificial snow will be open to the public. It’s free and open to the public as long as the snow lasts, so some out and make a snow angel and have a snowball fight with your friends!
Admission is $5 per vehicle, and visitors may either drive through the holiday display or take a walking tour.
The lights will be on display seven days a week from 5:30 p.m. till 9:30 p.m. on the week days, and till 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The dazzling light show will continue until Sunday, December 30, 2019, so make sure to mark your calendars!
