Some of these incredible areas are more well-known than others, yet still harbor some amazing secrets. People will often visit and unknowingly pass up rare opportunities to just soak up some serene scenery, or go on an exciting adventure. Don't make that mistake! Here are 10 hidden gems hiding in Kentucky:
1. Graze (formerly The Homestead) in Winchester, Kentucky, opened in the fall of 2013 as Graze Market and Cafe with only 13 seats in a small former post office in Winchester.
Today, the eatery offers seasonal meals, homemade baked goods, and drinks! Definitely make a point to stop by this historic and charming little eatery.
2. Saint James Art Fair in Old Louisville happens annually on the first full weekend in October.
The festival hosts well over 750 artists from all around the Bluegrass State. It's held at St. James Court right in the middle of the beautiful Victorian section of Old Louisville, which, if you haven't visited before, definitely needs to be on your list! The area itself is pure architectural art, and will have you swooning for the beautiful Bluegrass.
3. The Conrad Caldwell House in Old Louisville offers visitors a view of the Victorian Era at its finest.
This castle-esque version of Victorian architecture has been maintained to befit the original style. Come and tour this unique piece of Kentucky history; tours, programs, and special events happen year-round, and can be viewed on the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum website.
4. The Old Fort Harrod State Park in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, is a delightful day trip in the Bluegrass State.
The park features an authentic 16th century historical village, as well as the Big Ole Tree: the largest Osage Orange tree in the U.S.
5. The Paducah Flood Wall murals offer a unique glimpse of the history of the town, and yes, their actually on the flood wall.

6. Louisville Mega Cavern
In a state that's known around the world for its superlative Mammoth Cave, it's actually quite shocking to find that there is *another* stellar cavern in the state! Louisville Mega Cavern is a popular destination for all ages and for people all over the state and even the region. It’s more than unique; it is the only destination of its kind in the entire world. The cave also offers a mega zip line in Kentucky that’s a heart-pumping adventure and a great adrenaline rush any time of year!
7. Big South Fork National River offers serene views of the rolling hills, valleys, and canyons for which the Bluegrass is well-known.
