You're a native Kansan who has seen and done it all. Tackling the world's tallest water slide (Schlitterbahn's infamous Verrückt)? Child's play. Visiting the geographic center of the contiguous United States? Yes (and it was about as exciting as it sounds). What about seeing the World's Largest Easel in Goodland with your very own eyes? Duh--check out my Instagram! You think you have done it all, but are you ready to hear about a really unique, virtually unknown activity that you have probably never heard of? Yes? Then go out and explore the World's Largest Collection of the World's Smallest Versions of the World's Largest Things in Lucas.
What exactly is the World's Largest Collection of the World's Smallest Versions of the World's Largest Things Traveling Roadside Attraction and Museum? Just like it sounds, the museum features a collection of specially designed replicas of some of the world's largest things, all housed in a colorful tour bus parked near the Garden of Eden in Lucas.
And just who is behind this fun and quirky concept? None other than Kansas artist Erika Nelson (pictured), who travels the country speaking and educating others on the world's largest things (while showing off her intricate, scaled-down versions).
Interested in where Erika found the inspiration for her large, albeit little collection? Check out the WLCoWSVoWLT's website for a national list of some of the largest things.
If you visit Lucas and wish you could share this big/little collection with friends far away, your wish may come true, as Erika takes a separate decked out vehicle on the road during her speaking engagements.
