Love is in the air, but where do you go when you're looking for the perfect location for your special night? These lovely locations aren't just for Valentine's Day (or any other holiday); they are perfect any time you want to make something a romantic event and not just a standard outing. Let's check out some of the many romantic spots in Kansas City that you should consider when looking for that special date.

1. Take a walk through Overland Park Arboretum.

Sometimes a walk through the park is just a nature trip, but the right mood can make it a romantic stroll. Maybe bring a picnic and stay for a while?

Amazing French cuisine is a great way to set the tone for a romantic night, especially if you get to hear the Chef sing. Plus, the mood lighting brings everything down a notch and makes a meal here feel more intimate.

3. Enjoy live music at Green Lady Lounge.

Few cities love Jazz as much as Kansas City does, so a night out enjoying live music can easily become a cute couple activity when you get a table to yourself.

4. Visit the rose garden in Loose Park.

Roses are romantic on their own, but when you're surrounded by a garden as beautiful as Loose Park, you can't help but feel like you've discovered something magical. Stop and smell the roses with someone special - you might find a new spot that'll always be a lovely memory.

Taking a short trip away from home is a great idea to add a little romance into your life. For those that love classic games, don't pass up a trip to Up-Down. You can have some old school fun playing games like DigDug, Pac-Man, and Donkey Kong on vintage arcade machines with your special someone. Challenge your date to a friendly skee-ball competition to see who reigns supreme!

12. Go to Legoland's "no kids allowed" day.

Every second Thursday of the month, there's an event at Legoland that is for adults (18+) only. Let out your inner child as you play with Legos and ride around... without any young kids hogging all of the toys. What better way to connect with a loved one than enjoying some creative play together?

13. Ride through nature together.

For adventure loving couples, the Swope Park Mountain Bike Trail is perfect for an outdoor date. You can hike here as well - just make sure you two lovebirds keep an ear out for the bikers while you're making googly eyes at each other.
