There are several Medieval-inspired castles scattered around the small city, thanks to Midwest Industries founder Byron Godbersen.
The first castle in town was Godbersen's own estate, Lake LaJune. H also included a man-made lake and a replica of the HMS Bounty in his first inspiring property project.
From there, the only thing to do was build more castles! Everywhere you look, you'll see towers and Medieval architecture in the castles of Ida Grove.
Even the town skating rink is playing along! Skate Palace is one of the most recognizable of the buildings in this quirky Iowa town.
