I've had a couple different photographers reach out to me via email ([email protected]) and ask about their photos being featured in the articles here at OnlyInYourState. I absolutely LOVE featuring the work of local photographers. This is especially true when you have some kind of gallery of your work! This way I can pull pictures from the gallery to fit articles as I compose them and give you the credit you deserve for being such an incredible photographer! So, please don't hesitate to contact me if you are a local photographer looking to be featured!
Anyway, I got to talking to a few of these photographers about how beautiful this state is. Some of them told me about how much they love going around and taking pictures of the gorgeous treasures of the state. We've been working together to compose a piece featuring some of the most beautiful hidden treasures of the state that they've managed to take pictures of. Here they are!
1. Check out these gorgeous spring flowers at Marott Park in Indianapolis.
2. Here are some gorgeous pathways in Holliday Park in Indianapolis.
3. Did you know there was an abandoned Ski World on Highway 46 in Brown County? Incredible!
4. Can you believe how incredible these pictures of the Cataract Falls State Park are? Have you been to Spencer to check this out yet?
5. This one is a picture of Clear Creek at the Cedar Bluffs Nature Preserve just to the south of Bloomington. This shot is incredible!
6. If you look hard enough, you can see there is a small rainbow inset in the clouds lingering above Seymor. What I really love about this piece is how this photographer was able to take a picture of the downtown area and some train tracks and make it look so spectacular.
7. This is a gorgeous shot of the Beatty Walker Ditch taken off Bridge 61 in Jackson County. The photographer says to make sure you bring bug spray because the mosquitos are awful, but the place is truly beautiful.
8. This breathtaking picture was captured in Jackson County at night. Everything from the sky to the flooded potholes is absolutely incredible about this piece.
9. Here are two pretty incredible pictures of Lake Monroe located in Bloomington! The water just looks so peaceful.
10. This is Ft. Benjamin Harrison State Park. Check out the incredible wildflowers! I really love the way the sun is shining in the first picture. Incredible!
11. These are also pictures of Ft. Benjamin Harrison State Park. They are darker shots with such heavy fog, I thought they needed their own number!
12. This is such a relaxing picture of the Garfield Park Conservatory in Indianapolis. How pretty!
13. Want to take a drive down Boone Hollow Road near Silverville?
14. I’ve decided to leave you with this lonely tree in Franklin. Doesn’t it just look sad and alone? Poor tree!
I don't know about you, but I think these hidden treasures in Indiana are simply beyond words. They are gorgeous! I wanted to give a special thanks to Stephen Sproull at Sproull Photography and Forrest M. Willey at Cortland Astronomy for so graciously letting me use their photos for this piece! You two are incredible photographers! I hope you all will take a second to appreciate their work.
