Yearning to learn about some of the most haunted places in Indiana? We've done some digging and learned there are quite a few places worth checking out (or maybe worth staying far away from...). Check out this list and these places. Just remember to bring a camera if you head to any of these abandoned places in IN!
1.) Anderson - Cry Baby Bridge
There are a few different stories regarding what happened at this bridge. Some say a desperate mother threw her baby over the bridge. The story goes on to say that if you go to the bridge, you can hear the baby crying and see the outline of the mother walking across the bridge. Another story suggests the baby died in a car accident. Either way, you are supposed to hear the cries of a baby who passed away on this spooky bridge. It is one of the most haunted places in Indiana.

2.) Indianapolis - The Hannah House
The Hannah House was originally constructed in 1858. Rumor has it that it was a passage for the Underground Railroad. According to legends, there was a group of slaves who were asleep in the house when an oil lantern turned over, caught some hay on fire, and killed a few of them who were hiding in the basement. I don't know about you, but this video (and this house) gives me the creeps! Learn more about the history of Hannah House.
3.) Gary - The Demon House
There is a house in Gary, Indiana that is rumored to have been a portal to hell. The story goes that more than 200 demons attacked and possessed a mother (Latoya Ammons) and her children. Police officers, Child Protection Services, and medical professionals all confirmed that Latoya and her family were possessed and had to be exorcised. Needless to say, this is one of the most haunted places in Indiana. Read more about the chilling story of the Demon House.
4.) Mitchell - Whispers Estate
Dr. John and Jessie Gibbons purchased this house sometime between the end of the 1800s and the beginning of the 1900s (the date varies from one source to the next.) The couple was reported to have adopted a number of abandoned children. They had a ten-year-old girl who started a fire in the parlor in the front of the house and was burned badly. She ended up dying a couple of days later in one of the bedrooms upstairs. Legend has it that you can still hear the girl running and playing upstairs.
An infant, Elizabeth, was just 10 months old when she died in the master bedroom. The cause of her death is not known. Jessie died in the same room as the infant after suffering from double pneumonia. Some say you can smell baby powder and hear labored breathing when you're alone in this room. Many people have even claimed that they feel like someone is sitting on their chest, making it hard for them to breathe.
Some even believe there are four graves on the property of this abandoned place in IN. Discover more gruesome details about Whispers Estate.
5.) The Haunted Shiloh Church & Cemetery
This haunted spot gives me the super creeps! You can find it at the top of Devil's Dip, which is located just on the outskirts of Logansport. Legend has it that if you go to the church near midnight and run around the church three times that you can see the face of a small child appear in one of the basement windows.

6.) Greencastle - Boone Hutch Cemetery
This cemetery is supposed to be one of the top 10 most haunted places in IN. It's said to contain the ghost of a police officer from the 1950s who sits on one of the gravestones in the graveyard. He is said to carry a blue light with him. As you can see in this video, there are a lot of people who get very ghostly pictures while visiting this creepy spot!
