If you have a need for speed, our adventure today is for you! Meridian is now home to K1 Speed, an indoor go kart racing destination where going slow isn’t an option. This new attraction is fun for the entire family — whether on or off the track — and it even boasts a few features you won’t see in other go kart racing destinations in the Gem State.
K1 Speed is found in cities all around the country. In fact, with attractions in more than 20 states, it has become a well-known name for indoor go kart racing. And, here in Idaho, it’s certainly something new.
Located at 1135 N Hickory Avenue in Meridian, this indoor go kart destination is designed to impress. This unique attraction features two elevated tracks that will take you up, down, and all around.
The two tracks can actually connect, creating the ultimate Super Track. This mega track is unique when compared with any other K1 Speed location around the country.
The tracks are lined with LED lighting and feature a safe barrier system, which is designed to absorb any impacts. So, no matter how fast you go, safety is always a top priority.
All of the karts at K1 Speed are electric and you will certainly feel the speed. Juniors can reach speeds up to 20 miles per hour and adults can fly around the track at 45 miles per hour.
Plus, there are two rows of karts so you never have to wait too long for a ride.
And not only will you be engaged and entertained while on the track, but you will off the track as well. You can step inside the Paddock Lounge, an on-site café where you can purchase light snacks and drinks. There is also a small arcade where you can continue to let your adrenaline flow.
K1 Speed in Meridian is open seven days a week. Reservations are not required but strongly encouraged, particularly for groups of eight or larger.
