Opened in 1979, this massive flea market in Hawaii features more than 400 vendors offering a wide array of both new and used goods, handcrafted items, and so much more. Located at the state's biggest sports venue, The Aloha Stadium Swap Meet is the largest open-air market of the Hawaiian islands. Vendors set up their wares in booths circling around the stadium itself, so expect to cover a lot of ground while shopping here.
At this flea market, you will find high-quality items from clothing and accessories to furniture, antiques, jewelry, souvenirs, packaged goods, art, handcrafted items, and so much more.
The swap meet is open every Wednesday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., and Sundays from 6:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. The price of admission is only $1 per person over the age of 12 which is quite a bargain for the number of goods you'll have access to.
On your bargain shopping extravaganza, you'll find just about everything you're looking for and then some. Of course, farm-grown Hawaiian flowers are a welcome sight to see at a market like this!

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. An Instagram ad caught my eye during a late-night scroll session and I was intrigued by the colorful compartments and versatility of the bag, which can be carried as a duffle or as a backpack (I prefer the backpack for even weight distribution and airport navigation.) Why I Love It: Fact: Airplanes are notoriously dry, dry, dry. No matter how much water I drink both before and during the flight, I always find myself in a hydration deficit for days. There is little better than finding fresh fruits and vegetables in the Aloha State. Unfortunately, because so much of the food produced in our beautiful state gets exported, the produce we find at grocery stores in Hawaii often doesn’t last too long, considering it has been shipped to the islands. This grocery store, nestled inside the walls of a former pineapple cannery, is the exception, specializing in fresh, locally-grown produce, as well as a variety of other goods.

Back in the day, and until the mid-20th century, when pineapple was king, the Pauwela Cannery was a busy hub of activity: The train came and went, delivering canned pineapples for shipment to the mainland and transporting workers. Today, it is the site of a variety of manufacturing warehouses, surfboard shapers, art galleries, and a hardware store.
The coolest of all businesses found within this former pineapple cannery is the one-of-a-kind Pauwela Store, a health food shop that stocks all your favorites - from fresh, organic produce to healthy snacks.
This small family-owned business strives to be as mindful of the quality of food they sell, and everything is as local and organic as possible - it certainly shows in its offerings.
Opened in 2017, Pauwela Store stocks fresh produce from small, local farms, and they’ll even purchase your extra fruits and vegetables to sell at the store - got any oranges or avocados?
