Talk about incredible natural scenery! The Chattahoochee Cohutta Overlook in Ellijay, Georgia is a great place to snag a scenic view of the state for free. Stop and stretch your legs, as you drive through Murray County, and on a really clear day, you’ll see sprawling mountains and rolling valleys for miles.

3. Georgia Guidestones - Elberton, GA
The Georgia Guidestones are still an enigma for many ever since they were erected back in 1980. These granite stones are inscribed with guidelines to an Age of Reason in 12 different languages. Nobody really knows where these came from, nor their purpose. However, they are free to visit if you want to see these mysterious Guidestones in person.

4. Silver Comet Trail
The Silver Comet Trail in Georgia stretches from Smyrna, Georgia 61.5-miles to the Georgia/Alabama state line by Cedartown. This giant biking trail is a real treat for anyone looking to trek the whole trail, or simply enjoy a few hours on it. You’ll be surrounded by natural beauty throughout the trail as you wind your way through various landmarks. The best part of it all is that it's free to ride!

5. Chattahoochee River
When summertime hits, there is no better way to beat the heat than by visiting the Chattahoochee River. Free to enter and enjoy, the Chattahoochee River is the perfect river to tube or simply go for a swim in the shallow water. Flowing at over 400 miles from Union County to Lake Seminole, there are plenty of different access points to enjoy this river.
